Hi Jill! This comment doesn't have a whole lot to do with the subject of your post (although my girls 5 and 3 also have and love the Dorothy shoes). I just wanted to write and tell you about how I discovered your work.
About a month ago, I was in New Wilmington visiting one of my best friends from college. She is an artist and an art collector and her house is full of amazing work by herself and other artists. One of your wonderful Pirate Girls was sitting on one of the beds in the room I slept in. I like to make dolls and stuffies too, so Meridith purposely put her there because she knew I would appreciate her.
I loved Pirate Girl and the next day I wanted to get one of my own. We set out to the one store in New Wilmington where Mer thought they might be, but no luck.
I thought that was the end of it, but then this afternoon while I was eating lunch and avoiding the mountain of grading that I have to do, lo and behold, I found your dolls in Stuffed magazine. I was excited to see that you have a blog and wanted to let you know that your dolls are wonderful and whimsical. Do you do art fairs? I'm guessing that you don't have an Etsy store because there wasn't a link on your blog.
Audra, thanks for the comment! I feel so famous. My ETSY site wasn't working for me, so currently there is nothing for sale online. I will be selling my art work at the New Wilmington Farmer's market, most Saturdays June-October.
I do have the pirate girl that was featured in Stuffed still available. She is $30. You can send me an email at jpostema at hotmail dot com.
